The MMA Platinum Gloves (Platinum Gloves) was developed to showcase the best amateur MMA talent in the tri-state area. We are fully sanctioned through the USMTA (visit usmta.com for info). We comply with unified MMA rules and all fighters must be a part of an MMA affiliated gym, have up-to-date blood work and physicals in order to fight for us.

Major Rules

USMTA follows the majority of rules of MMA, including:

• No elbows
• No knees to head
• No foot stomps
• No twisted ankle locks
• All fighters will wear 7 ounce gloves

Flyweight: 125 lbs.
Bantamweight: 135 lbs.
Featherweight: 145 lbs.
Lightweight: 155 lbs.
Welterweight: 170 lbs.
Middleweight: 185 lbs.
Light Heavyweight: 205 lbs.
Heavyweight: 265 lbs.

Nic has been involved in combat sports since 2002 when he started working for CompuBox Inc., which is the official boxing stats provider for HBO, Showtime, ESPN and NBC. In 2007, Nic helped start CompuStrike, which tallies fight stats for MMA, and help it become the official stats provider for Bellator and Glory Kickboxing.

Nic has also helped promote the Golden Gloves of boxing and DiBella Entertainment, boxing promoters.
